Henry Kissinger was born on May 27, 1923 in Furth, Bavaria, Germany in a middle-class family. Real name of Henry Kissinger is Heinz Alfred Kissinger who changed his name to Henry after moving to New York city. Heinz was interested in playing soccer in his early age. He played for the popular soccer clubs of Germany like SpVgg Furth. Escaping rising anti-semitism in Germany, Kissinger’s family migrated to United States. He studied accounting at graduation level after completing high school education.

During his graduation, he was selected for the United States Army in Second World War. He became a naturalized citizen of United States during Army training. He worked as intelligence officer in the US Army. He left the army after winning the Bronze Star.
