He got high school education at Fairfax High School but, in the end, he didn’t complete his college education at the University of Southern California. Comedian Jimmie Walker impressed by Allen’s performance during a stand up and he invited the young comedian to join his comedy writing team. Allen made his television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” at the age of 18 years.
